The Wethersfield Early Childhood Collaborative (WECC) is a group of committed partners who engage and connect families with resources, helping children experience a healthy start.
WECC values the importance of the early years (prenatal through age 8) where families feel welcomed, connected to one another and have the resources they need to raise healthy children who are developmentally ready for school socially, emotionally, physically, academically, and behaviorally.
Health: Families have access to maternal, infant, and early childhood health resources
Education: Families have access to high quality early care and learning opportunities
Connection: Families are connected and actively involved in the community

WECC’s Virtual Family Resource Center
One of WECC’s earliest strategic objectives was to “identify and promote a central place where residents can access information about child care, early learning, and parenting tools.”
The goal of this virtual family resource center is to provide a single point of entry for Wethersfield families with young children to access resources and get engaged in our community. We seek to include resources and events that are in line with WECC’s mission, vision, and initiatives and we welcome community input.
To inquire about having your resource, service, event or organization included as part of this virtual family resource center or to suggest groups, resources and events for inclusion, please contact Wethersfield Family & Early Childhood Coordinator, Kim Bobin, at 860-721-2885 or kbobin@wethersfield.me.
WECC meets the second Monday of every month from 4:30 to 6 pm and is open to all community members. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact:
