Supporting Family Home Daycare Providers in Wethersfield

The Family Daycare Educator’s Circle is a community-led initiative created by Diana Gil and Fernanda Gonzalez. Our mission is to strengthen the network of family home daycare providers in Wethersfield, Connecticut.

We understand the challenges providers face in accessing training and resources. That’s why we started by listening—through bilingual surveys, we identified what providers truly need.

By working together with local schools, libraries, and community organizations, we’re making resources easier to access, offering targeted training, and building a long-term support system.

Together, we’re improving the quality of childcare and helping to create a stronger, more connected community.

The goal of this virtual family resource center is to provide a single point of entry for Wethersfield families with young children to access resources and get engaged in our community. We seek to include resources and events that are in line with WECC’s mission, vision, and initiatives and we welcome community input.

About Us

The Wethersfield Early Childhood Collaborative (WECC) is a diverse group of community members, educators, parents and local organizations who advocate for Wethersfield’s young children. Our goal is to ensure that all Wethersfield’s children, birth to 5 are healthy, ready for school, and are involved in their community.
