Wethersfield Parent Cabinet And Ambassadors

Wethersfield’s Ivoni Montes is one of 15 Connecticut Office of Early Childhood Parent Cabinet members throughout the state.

Ivoni meets regularly with Wethersfield Parent Ambassadors Maria Vazquez and Jamain Naidoo, and other ambassadors in our region, to share the concerns of parents and caregivers with state leaders and policymakers.

Ivoni Montes works for the YMCA Family Learning of Wethersfield as a Teacher’s Assistant.


Ivoni is a native from Peru where she worked as a police officer for several years until moving to the United States in 2005.


She has children at Webb Elementary and Wethersfield High School.

Elizabeth Netz is a dedicated educator with nearly 15 years of experience. Liz is a graduate of the University of Connecticut's School of Education as well as a graduate of the Wethersfield UConn PEP program.  Passionate about Wethersfield, she is committed to closing the achievement gap. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her daughters and relaxing at the beach. 

Michelle Sebak, a proud Wethersfield UConn PEP graduate and mother of two, is a school counselor and parent educator who is passionate about supporting students and families. She believes in fostering strong relationships between schools and the community to create meaningful change. Michelle is thrilled to continue advocating for families in her role as a WECC parent ambassador.
