Child Development Infoline (CDI) is a specialized unit of United Way of CT. Care Coordinators are available to answer questions 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday except on holidays. Messages can be left 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are returned promptly. This service is free and confidential, with multi-lingual and TTY capacity.

The mission of the Birth to Three System is to strengthen the capacity of families to meet the developmental and health-related needs of their infants and toddlers who may have developmental delays. Help Me Grow is a free statewide program that serves children from birth to 8 years old. This organization connects Connecticut children and their families to community services and resources related to child health, behavior, development and learning. The Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ-3) provides a fun, interactive way to understand the many changes a child goes through. Parents/guardians can keep track of how their child is developing by enrolling in the Ages and Stages Child Monitoring Program, a free service provided by Help Me Grow. When a parent/guardian signs up, a questionnaire will be sent every few months. By answering a few questions, parents can keep track of their child’s development from 4 months to 5 years of age. When the questionnaires are returned, the parent will receive information about their child’s development along with fun learning activities to do with your child. Connections to community services and resources may also be provided.
