Wethersfield School, Family, Community Engagement Team

Kimberly Bobin is the Family & Early Childhood Coordinator for the Town of Wethersfield and Wethersfield Public Schools. Kim joined WECC as a parent volunteer and served as a member of the Connected to Community Committee. Her professional background includes customer service, marketing and international relocation. She is a Spanish speaker, a Wethersfield resident and mother of two boys.

Jim Welch is the WECC Coordinator. Jim worked for more than 18 years at The Hartford Courant as a reporter, editor and digital content producer. He is a graduate of the Wethersfield UCONN PEP program and an Assistant Scoutmaster with Wethersfield BSA Troop 85. He lives in town with his wife and two children.

Jessie Pickett is the Elementary School Family Liaison. Jessie is the father of a first grader and preschool student. He is active in his community in Enfield, participating in school events, community meetings and supporting recreational activities. Jessie has a decade of customer service and banking experience. He looks forward to building relationships to support collaboration and inclusion. Jessie strongly believes parent and student voice and connecting families to school and community will drive classroom outcomes.

Mercella Bingham, a Wethersfield resident, is the liaison for the Wethersfield school district supporting students living in Hartford who are part of our community through the Open Choice Lottery. She has over 18 years experience in post-secondary education and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Asnuntuck Community College. As district liaison, Mercella works across the schools K-12 to build bridges between students, families, school staff and CREC. When students succeed -- schools succeed -- and everyone wins is her philosophy.
